Modern Question Mark
During my time as a modern question mark, I have assisted many modern authors with challenging generally accepted notions through use of rhetorical interrogative tone. I have also served to make literary dialog far more interesting. Many court cases and congressional hearings would have amounted to nothing without my service.

Managerial Technical Writer, Bank of America
There was a brief hiatus in my career where no one asked any questions for several years. Hence, I was forced to find other work. I was a technical writer for Bank of America where I responded to loan requests and grant proposals.

General Marker of Interrogative Intonation
I started my linguistic and cognitive career as a general marker to indicate when a speaker or reader should infer an upward rise toward the end of a non-declarative sentence, thereby indicating a question. This took place in Western Europe primarily with languages of Romantic and Germanic origin. The effects were accepted worldwide due to the proliferation of Western language through European imperialism.

Although the IPA has only been in existence since 1897, my likeness has been used since 1886 to represent the following sounds in international phonics: pharyngeal fricative and approximant, epiglottal plosive, fricative, approximant, and flap, as well as glottal plosive, more commonly recognized as the “glottal stop.”

ABC’s Program “Lost”
I was the title of an enthralling second season episode of “Lost” written by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse in which John Locke and Mr. Eko discover my emblematic resemblance in the jungle which leads the two characters to more answers in the ongoing tension surrounding events on the island. My presence underscored the ironic dichotomy which connects question and answer in one united event. I also properly punctuated the episode.
